Seattle Sounders obtained defender Jackson Ragen via the 2022 Major League Soccer season with alternatives for 2023 and 2024.
To signal the participant, Seattle despatched a natural 1/3-round select in the 2023 MLS SuperDraft to the Chicago Fire for his College Protected Period Priority. The Fire at the start secured Ragen via the 2021 MLS SuperDraft, choosing him up with the Number 33 usual choose.

Ragen became a college standout before becoming a member of the Chicago Fire, triumphing Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year after a successful 2021 season at the University of Michigan. He additionally led the group with five dreams, and earned First Team All-Big Ten selection in each 2019 and 2021.
Prior to creating the first team with Seattle, the 23-yr-antique joined then-USL Championship associate and now-MLS NEXT Pro facet Tacoma Defiance, where he recorded one purpose in sixteen video games.
His capabilities have earned him a primary group spot with the Sounders.
