Zlatan Ibrahimović: Where is He Playing Now

Zlatan Ibrahimovic was born on October 3, 1981, in Malmö, Sweden. Zlatan’s parents, Sefik and Jurka, were both Bosnian immigrants who met and married in Sweden. As a result, Zlatan grew up in Rosengård, a Malmö neighborhood with a significant immigrant population. On 17 July 2012, Paris Saint-Germain revealed that they had struck a deal with Milan to buy Ibrahimovic’s sporting and economic rights, having previously signed personal terms with the striker, for a cost of €20 million. He became the club’s single-season scoring leader and Ligue 1’s top scorer in 2015/16 with 38 goals.

Career in Premier League

On July 1, 2016, Ibrahimovic signed a one-year contract with Manchester United as a free agent, with the possibility of an extension depending on his performance for the club. Ibrahimovic scored the game-winning goal for Manchester United in 2016.

USA and Back to Milan

Ibrahimović joined the L.A. Galaxy of Major League Soccer (MLS) on March 23, 2018. He made his presence known in an unusual way, purchasing a signed full-page advertisement in the Los Angeles Times that simply said, “Dear Los Angeles, you’re welcome.” while an All Star and Bet XI in both seasons in November 2019 he announced that he wanted to leave the USA club.

After that, Ibrahimovic rejoined AC Milan on a free transfer on December 27, 2019, on a six-month contract until the end of the season, with the option to extend his contract until the end of the 2020-21 season, subject to certain requirements. On September 17, 2020, Ibrahimović scored Milan’s first goal of the 2020-21 season in a 2-0 away win against Shamrock Rovers in the second qualifying round of the Europa League.
